Hearing Assessments
Most people regularly have their eyes, teeth and bloodwork tested but rarely do they include checking their hearing.
It is reported that hearing loss is the third most common physical health condition, impacting globally 1 in 8 individuals. The World Health Organization predicts that hearing loss will almost double in the next 30 years; this makes a regular hearing assessment critically important.
The biggest challenge is that hearing loss often occurs slowly and gradually, making it almost impossible to notice on a day-to-day change.
Typically, our loved ones are first to notice that we are experiencing a hearing challenge before we do.
Having a regular hearing assessment allows for early detection of hearing loss ensuring the right preventive measures are taken so that your hearing health is optimally cared for.

Hearing Aid Technology
Having invented the most widely used hearing aid in the world, it is fair to say that Dr. Bauman, an engineer and an audiologist, and his team, know best about the auditory mechanism, the brain associated with speech and language and the electronics of hearing devices to make the best recommendation for your individualized hearing issues.
Despite the significant progression in hearing technology over the past decade, it is predicted by the World Health Organization, that 83% of people who can
benefit from hearing technology are still reluctant to take first step toward better hearing. There is still stigma associated with wearing hearing aids. There remains a false belief that hearing aids are the large, clunky devices that our grandparents used to wear. The truth is today’s hearing technology is incredibly small, discreet, and smart.
Hearing devices no longer just magnify the sounds you hear, now they smartly have the capability to amplify your hearing and your life, allowing you to engage and enjoy your family and friends.
Tinnitus Evaluations & Treatment
If you are experiencing challenges with tinnitus (ringing in the ear) or sound sensitivity, then you will understand the detrimental impact that this can have on the quality of your life. The simplest of joys can become agonizing. There is a misconception that there is no treatment for tinnitus or sound sensitivity. It can be overwhelming to think that you will struggle with these challenges for the rest of your life.
To help his patients, Dr. Bauman established a tinnitus and sound oversensitivity clinic early in his career. He has developed
proprietary special treatment therapies which he also teaches to practitioners both nationally and internationally. He is now considered the expert that experts turn to for advice and support.

The attenuator includes a housing having a passageway, the passageway allowing for sound to pass through the housing and a variable control, the variable control able to control the size of the passageway through the housing and the device including a second passageway for transmitting amplified sound from the hearing device into the ear of the wearer.

The present invention relates to a system for improving a user's hearing and more particularly to a receiver system used in the system. In one embodiment, the receiver system has a housing and a plurality of arms extending from the housing for positioning and suspending the receiver within the ear canal of a user. Each of the arms may be formed from a flexible, plastic material or a bendable wire. In a second embodiment, the receiver system is surrounded by a disc formed from a sound filtering material. When installed in a combination instrument, the receiver is separated from the microphone. When installed in a tinnitus/hyperacusis device, the receiver is separated from the body of the instrument.

The device is preferably open ear. The device is preferably programmable. The device can also include a hearing aid for amplifying ambient sounds. Preferred method of treatment in 90% of tinnitus cases in the U.S.
November 9, 1999: Ear wax collection device for a hearing aid. Patent 5,982,908 (Bauman, N. ) An in-the-ear hearing aid in accordance with the present invention has a housing shaped to fit within a user's ear, and a sound passageway within the housing. The sound passageway includes a fixed tube communicating with a receiver. The sound passageway further includes a removable tube whose interior end abuts the fixed tube and an ear wax trap adjacent the interior end. In a preferred embodiment, the ear wax trap is formed from a mesh material. In accordance with the present invention, the removable tube with its integral ear wax trap may be removed as needed to clean the trap. After cleaning, the removable tube with its ear wax trap may be reinserted into the hearing aid.
