Len immediately felt “comfortable” at AVI New England due to the welcoming staff.

As a teacher, hearing was a key part of his job, as he needed to understand what his students were saying.

However, when he couldn’t hear his students in the classroom, that’s when Len realized he had a serious hearing loss that needed addressing.

First impressions wise, Len immediately felt “comfortable” at AVI New England due to the welcoming staff.

Hearing aids have not only given him “better hearing,” but they have also allowed him to hear sounds he didn’t know existed.

Len encourages anyone else in his position to just “try it” and rates his experience as 10/10.

Since then, she can now hear things she didn’t know existed, such as “the birds chirping and people talking far away.”

Dr. Bauman is “world renown and you cannot find a better audiologist.”

While Geraldine showed the signs of hearing loss much earlier, it wasn’t until she was age 46 that she recognized the severity of her concerns, noticing she had “trouble hearing the children at work.”

Since then, Dr. Bauman has been her audiologist for the past 30 years and she thoroughly trusts the doctors at AVI New England.

What made a standing impression was the new office and professional staff, who helped to ensure she felt completely at ease.

Eva encourages others to “Go for it, as I have advised three people to go.”

While hearing loss can often be disguised by lip reading and facial cues, Eva first realized she had a hearing loss when she started feeling left out of conversations at the dinner table.

She didn’t have any concerns, but she just wanted to hear better. In one instance, she describes how her mother didn’t like to wear hearing aids, so she made a smart analogy about eyeglasses.

“One point, I collected all her eyeglasses and tossed them in the garbage. I asked her if she was ashamed of wearing glasses. There is no difference in wearing seeing aids or hearing aids.”

She remembers her first impressions with AVI New England well, as she was “very well advised to have the ear canals open and not blocked by the little ones that totally block the canal and distort your voice.”

Hearing aids immediately changed her life and she “went more or less back to following conversations.”
Eva encourages others to “Go for it, as I have advised three people to go.”

She rates her experience as 10/10.

He urges others to get the help they need soon, adding, “You will be making a big mistake if you do not consider AVI.”

Peter, like many others, became accustomed to his hearing loss and unable to hear others.

It wasn’t until he met Dr. Bauman, who provided him with the delicate and professional care he needed, that he realized the severity of his concerns.

Now, without his hearing aids, he describes that he “would be lost without them when I must communicate with others.”

While Pete’s hearing aids are now a big part of his life, he understands that others are still being held back.

He urges others to get the help they need soon, adding, “You will be making a big mistake if you do not consider AVI.”

“The tinnitus retraining program is very helpful.”

When Linda first discovered that she had a hearing loss, her biggest concern was “finding a trusted, caring, and skilled provider to help with my tinnitus.”

While she didn’t have any preconceived fears or beliefs, it’s only natural to experience some anxiety before visiting somewhere for the first time.

However, as soon as she walked through the door, she knew that she was in the right place.

In particular, she found that “Dr. Bauman, Paula, and Vanessa continue to be extremely caring and kind – as they all were when I met them.”

Since having her hearing aids fitted, there have been many ways in which her life has changed, adding, “The tinnitus retraining program is very helpful.”

She has one message to others in her position. “You are with the very best. Dr. Bauman is brilliant and very kind. I cannot stress his sincere caring and respect toward his patients enough.”

Linda rates her experience with AVI New England as 10/10.

The doctor understood his needs and did a great job at meeting them.

Gary is no stranger to tinnitus, as he has been dealing with a ringing in his ears since age 12.

Unfortunately, it progressively got worse and by the time he was 50, it was intolerable.

Eager to get help, he did some research and found out about Dr. Bauman, adding, “His expertise showed me better ways to deal with the ringing. At this time, I was also experiencing hearing loss. He was able to fit me with hearing aids that helped combat both issues.”

At first, his biggest concern was “being able to hear better,” as he never cared how they would make him feel or look.

Ultimately, he was “tired of saying ‘What?’ all the time.” Nowadays, he says “What?” a lot less and feels a million times better.

While there were many things that impressed him about AVI New England, what stood out the most was the “care and concern” he was given by everyone there.

The doctor understood his needs and did a great job at meeting them.

Since having his hearing aids fitted, he describes that “Life is truly better.” He experiences “less ringing and more hearing.”

He encourages others to “Go and experience a new way of life.”

Gary rates AVI New England as 10/10.

Fortunately, his hearing came back after he took steroids for two weeks, however, hearing loss was always on the back of his mind.

To Albert, his biggest concern was “to find good hearing aids to function normally.”

When he first arrived at AVI New England, he thought that the staff were so “caring and helpful.”

Since having his hearing aids fitted, he is more aware of sounds around him and experiences “less buzzing” in his ears.

We travel 3000 miles just to see Dr. Bauman

It was back in 1994 when I first realized I had a hearing challenge, it was concerning to have hearing loss at a young age.

Dr. Bauman is the most knowledgeable, most renowned, and most caring audiologist, both myself and my husband travel 3000 miles to see him!

Our hearing aids have made hearing and interacting in everyday life possible again!

If you are considering booking an appointment with Dr. Bauman, you should do it. Go to the best, don’t consider anyone else.

Dr. Bauman cares about each person as if they
are his only patient

I grew up with a mom who suffered through her own hearing loss never seeking help, and she lost out on so much as a result.

Well, that wasn’t going to be the case for me, so when I realized I too was starting to ask people to repeat themselves many times over, along with suffering the awful sensations of what I believed was tinnitus, I decided to do something about it.

Before I knew about Dr. Bauman, I had sought out another audiologist in my area who tried me out with multiple hearing aids, but to no avail. At that point I realized I needed someone more specialized in tinnitus. I was then introduced to Dr. Bauman and immediately called his office.

The minute I walked into Dr. Bauman’s office, I knew I was in the right place. It’s over an hour’s drive, but I would drive that any day of the week to see him. He is just so knowledgeable, caring, thoughtful, helpful and compassionate. He really does care about each person as if he/she is his only patient.

I thought my problem was just tinnitus, but after he took the time to really get to the root of my problem, he told me I had a hearing loss and gave me all the advice, tools and support to help me. He knows everything there is to know about hearing loss, and he listens and is very insightful. He got to know me well and always makes me feel comfortable every time I see him, which is so important for someone who often feels anxious.

Because of Dr Bauman’s support and expertise, my tinnitus has completely made a 180 and it’s now perfectly manageable. I followed his 8-month program religiously, and I’m so grateful I did, as my life has become a lot more enjoyable now that I am able to manage my tinnitus and hear properly again.

He was impressed by the testing and the expert knowledge of the clinic, especially Dr. Bauman, and highlights how trustworthy and professional the staff are.

Hearing aids have now given him the ability to hear people in situations where background noise would have been a problem in the past.

“I only wear them when going out where there is a lot of background noise and don’t want to be left out.”

Jean Pierre encourages people not to wait to get their hearing tested and to trust that AVI New England will provide the best equipment and follow up service.
